The Alpha Course

Ever wondered what it's all about?

Over 2 million people in the UK and 10 million worldwide have now attended an Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, running in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world.

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, plus a day or weekend away.

Each session usually starts with a meal together, followed by a DVD and finishing with a chance to ask questions or share your thoughts in a group discussion.

We offer the Alpha Course free of charge.

There is usually an Alpha Course set to start soon in Brynmawr Family Church. If you would like to attend please send us an email.

The course is especially suited to those without any previous Church background who simply want to know a bit more about what Christians believe without being pressurised in any way.
